Maus Habitos An iconic cultural space for partying in Porto

Maus Hábitos is a vibrant and alternative cultural venue in the heart of Porto, where nightlife, contemporary art, and live music come together.

Located at 178 Rua de Passos Manuel, access is via elevator or spiral staircase up to the fourth floor. At the end of the main hallway, to the right, a large blue door opens into the performance room — the core of the venue’s cultural and nightlife programming.

Since 1999, Maus Hábitos has hosted a regular and eclectic program including concerts, performances, and DJ sets. The room adapts to different formats — from intimate gatherings to expansive parties — and welcomes proposals that explore new artistic languages and intersections between sound, image, and movement.

With bold and exploratory curatorship, Maus Hábitos fosters a nightlife scene that is creative and inclusive. Resident and guest DJs navigate a wide range of genres — from techno to reggaeton, house to experimental — in a space that is open, queer-friendly, and attuned to emerging trends.

To the left of the entrance, the gallery features temporary exhibitions and visual interventions curated by Saco Azul, an independent cultural association based at Maus Hábitos since 2001, which promotes contemporary artistic practices and reinforces the venue’s multidisciplinary identity.

More than a bar or concert hall, Maus Hábitos is a meeting point for those who experience the city through creativity and seek cultural alternatives beyond the mainstream.
