Douro River Ferry Cross the river with stunning views of the Douro and the Luis I Bridge

Boat Douro River Ferry, a magnificent crossing on the Douro River between the banks of Porto and Gaia.

Discover the city in a different way, on board boats inspired by the “rabelos”, traditional boats used to transport wine barrels from the Alto Douro to the shores of Gaia in ancient times.

Their function has evolved since today these boats, named "Serra do Pilar" and "Casa do Infante" (in honor of the two cities, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia) invite you to cross the river with a breathtaking view of the Douro and the Luis I Bridge. A few minutes are enough to reach the other bank from Ribeira de Porto or Cais de Gaia, sit comfortably and enjoy the crossing.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the dock with a maximum of 28 people per boat. Rest assured, the trips are regular from 10am to sunset so you don't get stuck on either side.
