Between the sea and the rocks of Leça da Palmeira Beach lies the Piscina das Marés (Tidal Pool), an iconic work by Álvaro Siza Vieira that transforms swimming into a unique experience. The pool integrates sublimely with the sea and the rocks, allowing the Atlantic water to naturally fill the pools. During the summer, visitors can enjoy relaxing swims in the two saltwater pools, one of which is ideal for children, or simply contemplate the sea and the architecture that embraces it. Outside of the bathing season, guided tours offer the opportunity to learn about the history and behind-the-scenes aspects of the space's rehabilitation, led by those who know architecture best.
