Taberninha do Manel is a family-run restaurant founded on May 4, 1986, located on the Vila Nova de Gaia waterfront, with a privileged view of Porto, Ribeira, and the Luís I Bridge. It stands out for its rustic and welcoming decor, evoking the tradition and hospitality of Northern Portugal. It was one of the first restaurants to establish itself in the riverside area, contributing to its dynamism.
Under the leadership of Manuel and André Carvalho, the restaurant remains true to its roots, combining tradition and innovation in its culinary offerings, with specialties such as Portuguese tapas, cod, octopus, and certified meats, accompanied by a carefully selected wine list, primarily from the region.
More than a restaurant, it is a space for socializing, culture and sharing, recognized as a reference in the restaurant scene in Ribeira de Gaia, where traditions, memories and the community spirit are promoted.
