Military architecture, it was built at the end of the 16th century to protect the coast and the entrance to the Douro River. You can visit it for free during the week, but there is no guided tour. The view of the sea is magnificent and the fort allows for beautiful photos with the beach in the background. Take the opportunity to take a nice walk.
