The museum is located in the former Santa Casa da Misericordia charity which was the headquarters of this institution from the 16th century until 2015, in the heart of the historic center of Porto. Magnificent paintings, sculptures and religious objects are exhibited in each of the 7 rooms, including the famous Fons Vitae (source of life), an important Flemish painting.
