Opened in 1997, the Portuguese Photography Center is housed in the former Porto Prison, an 18th century building which also served as a court. Today, its function has changed since it hosts permanent and temporary exhibitions spread over 3 floors. Photos, images but also old cameras bring the cells and rooms of prisoners to life, a lively and lively place that is absolutely worth visiting.
