I booked wine tasting with dinner - prepaid. They cancelled it a few days before my reservation - because of a private event in the same day. Since my days are planned - because of short term visit- I coulnd’t reschedule it for another day. Instead, I asked recommandation for similar experince Ididn’t get any reply after that. Not professional neither customer oriented. Don’t trust the reservation even if you pay months ago.

A real steal! 14€ for an entrance to a winery full of dairy farms. The dynamic activities weren't working, and the audio guide was useless, so if you don't speak English or Portuguese, you're lost! The receptionist was friendly, but she had no intention of solving the problem or contacting someone higher up to address it. Definitely a steep price for what's offered.

All in all I hate to say I was dissapointed. Fonseca LBV is my go-to port and I have half a dozen vintage ports in the cellar going back to 1991. The tour and tasting was disrupted by a multiple groups of disinterested and distracted groups, the standard tasting was a not-so-good white and the Bin27 which IMHO since the 2001 landslide has not recovered to its previous quality. Bottomline my favorite port house was a bust, but perhaps my expectations were too high. 😞

Henrique was fantastic. The port was much tastier than the larger conglomerates. Much more intimate. Only great things to say.

While shopping for a vintage port, one of the staff, Sergio Pinto, was very helpful and help us to find a very good 1997 vintage. We were hoping for a 1994 but this was the next best choice. He...
