The Art of Drinking an unusual museum where drink is at the heart of history

No need to be thirsty to discover this surprising museum that brings together a unique collection of ancient pieces dedicated to drinking. Open every day from 10am to 8pm (last entry at 7pm), The Art of Drinking is an unusual place to discover the rituals and customs of Gods, warriors, queens and emperors throughout 9,000 years of history.

More than 2,000 objects are presented there, each one reflecting an entire civilization that toasted in its own way. Take the time to admire the beauty of the sculptures in precious stones and rock crystal, to discover the astonishing fluorescent glasses that glow in the dark with an intense green light, and to understand the evolution of the drink throughout history. More than a museum, The Art of Drinking is a dive into the wonderful world of the drink.

The little extra: an audio guide is available in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German and Korean

The visit is not over and continues with the museums and the temporary exhibition present in WOW, a unique cultural district located in Vila Nova de Gaia. Restaurants allow you to take a break between the different spaces.
