You are plunged directly into the port bath upon your arrival by a guide wearing the outfit of “Don De Sanderman”, a black cape and a bowler hat. This famous character printed on all the house's products was created in 1928 to represent the brand. Follow the disguised guide into the cellars who tells you the history of the cellars, the different types of port wines, their particularities and the aging in the barrels. The tour in French ends with a port tasting and a tour of the shop to bring back a souvenir marked “Don De Sanderman”. The most curious can venture into the small museum before leaving to discover information on the beginnings of the brand and the evolution of advertising.
