Burmester is a very old Port wine cellar which preserves all the traditions, offering a pleasant typical visit. The presentation is rather short since it lasts between 30 minutes and an hour, but is very well explained with many details to present the history of Port, its transport and its production. The advantage is that you are welcomed in French, which makes understanding and exchanges easier. Of course tasting is essential, but can be done in several ways. With two glasses of Port, chocolate or cheese. The choice is yours, but if you opt for a visit at 11 a.m., it's the perfect aperitif break.
